Note: Sarah's husband, John Mattox (b. 1776), was the son of Michael Mackenzie Mattox and brother to Aaron b. 1778 (Bethel's father--our direct line). In other words, she was Aaron's sister-in-law. This is the oldest Mattox photo in our collection.
