Pearlie was sister to Texann (Mattox) Wilcox, our great-grandmother. Photos were generously provided by Jim Retherford, great-grandson of Pearlie. The Mattox's and Wilcox's, a prevalent family clan, were some of the earliest pioneers of Holmes County, Bonifay, Florida. Most of the males were farmers--a hard-working class of folks.
