Nellie Lenora Patrick (1878-1945)

Nellie's Testimony

According to my mother, her grandma (Nellie) was a good Christian with a strong faith in God who prayed and raised her children well. She remembers her mother, Lillian, telling her that Grandma and the kids would often walk to the little holiness church about 3 miles away and when going to a night meeting, they would take lanterns to light the way. Mother said nothing lewd nor negative could be said about Grandma. She kept a Christian home for her children and even raised granddaughter, Grace, to give her a stable home. Nellie was content to remain a widow from the age of 39 until her death, while living an exemplary life.
